Tom Chappell featured in Chicken Soup for the Entrepreneur's Soul

We're proud to say that our cofounder and CEO Tom Chappell contributed a chapter to the popular Chicken Soup series! His piece, "Finding the Soul of Success," appears in Chicken Soup for the Entrepreneur's Soul and details the ethical choices he faced as Tom's of Maine grew into a successful business in the 1980s. He and Kate (his wife and cofounder) had always intuitively managed their company with values as the driving force. But with a raft of MBAs beginning to turn the company away from its founding principles, Tom decamped to Harvard Divinity School (the first sitting CEO to do so) and rediscovered his—and Tom's of Maine's—mission: that a company could be financially successful while still being socially and environmentally responsible.

Other contributors to the book include Doris Christopher (The Pampered Chef), Mo Siegal (Celestial Seasonings), Drew and Myra Goodman (Earthbound Farm), Shelly Hartman (True Blue Farms), Doug Ducey (Cold Stone Creamery), Madeline Balletta (Bee-Alive), and Donald J. Hall Jr. (Hallmark Cards). It can be purchased online at Amazon or at your local bookstore!
